We’ve also managed to make some serious improvements to our original design techniques in the GCPH, by adding a dual mono, balanced signal path and dual mono power supplies. Separating the signal paths and the power supplies into, essentially, mono paths adds a wonderful level of separation in the audio chain and helps lower the noise to nearly imperceptible levels. This is truly a state-of-the-art phono preamplifier that can be used as an add on to your preamplifier or all by itself feeding your power amplifier directly!

The Naim NAC 202 may either be powered by a NAP 150 or NAP 200 amplifier or significantly upgraded by adding Naim power supplies to independently feed the analogue audio and digital control circuits. Carefully matched precision rotary potentiometers with precious metal wipers are used to ensure long-term stability and preserve musical integrity. The six inputs on the Naim NAC 202 can be selected directly from either the front panel or the NARCOM system remote. In addition to the usual DIN plug inputs, preferred for their superior earthing and impedance matching, two of the inputs can be configured for use with the more common RCA phono connectors, allowing a wide range of non-Naim cables and components to be used. The L-300 features unique, highly linear, amplifier stages that automatically adapt to the volume level to maximise linearity and minimise noise and distortion. The L-300 has no mechanical switches or moving parts in the signal chain. Source selection is accomplished by using precision electronic switches that eliminate all the problems found with mechanical switching devices including relays. The L-300’s electronic switches cannot wear out, the switch action is always perfect, they cannot corrode or change, they do not generate electrical noise, are unaffected by vibration and they operate silently. The electronic volume control offers precise gain matching between the channels over the whole volume range. You can be assured that the performance of your L-300 will be as perfect in 10 years as on the day you purchased it.
The output stage has very low output impedance, wide bandwidth and high current delivery for driving difficult loads right across the whole frequency range. This overcomes many of the problems with interconnect cables and component matching, allowing the L-300 to be used with a wide range of cables and power amplifiers.
The latest surface mount technology, combined with advanced multi-layer printed circuit boards that have increased thickness pure Australian copper tracks, provide maximum performance and reliability.
