A Video is Worth a Thousand Words

Why Sapphire?
In the Series II tonearms, the total rigidity improvements allow us to use the arm tube that is even stiffer than TA-AF's alumina ceramics. What could we select that would not add too much to the effective mass? The sapphire is a natural candidate. After all, it is also alumina ceramics, just a bit more noble!
Monocrystalline sapphire has an elastic modulus of 460 GPa. It is 1/3rd more rigid than TA-AF's alumina ceramics, 4 times better than titanium, and almost 7 times stiffer than aluminium alloy tubes employed by most tonearms. Sonically, sapphire exceeds all expectations. Blacker backgrounds, deeper bass, smoother highs, and a significant reduction in surface noise. And even more explosive, life-like dynamics.
Of course, there is a temptation to price this unique tonearm at least at the level of our competitors' polycrystalline sapphire tonearm. But that would not be true to the Korf mission. So it remains relatively attainable.

Of course, the TA-CF has all the benefits of Series II Korf tonearms:
- Aerospace-grade, zero rattle, zero friction, zero stiction flexure bearings in the horizontal axis
- Full ceramic silicon nitride bearings in the vertical axis
- Stainless steel vertical column, giving a more solid foundation to the whole tonearm
- Steel vertical shaft for deeper and more defined bass
- Internal redesign for even more rigidity
- Simpler, cleaner premium look
- Completely new azimuth adjustment mechanism for smoother, more precise setting
- 3 year warranty
