Proper azimuth alignment is one of the two most impactful setup parameters for vinyl playback optimisation. Unfortunately, many tonearms do not offer the ability to adjust the azimuth angle for your cartridge. Why is it unfortunate? Because few cartridges are at their ideal azimuth angle when the cartridge is level in the headshell.
The ideal azimuth angle for your cartridge is essential for maximizing stereo separation between left and right channels. After a few days of listening, I can confidently say the sound improvements of the azimuth adjustment made possible by the WallyFulcrum are quite profound. *Every* album I’ve played, whether it’s an old one I know well, or a new album I’m hearing for the first time sounds so much more focused and the soundstage so deep – it has really opened up the recording, bringing an increased sense of dynamics, vitality and reality to the performances. Great stuff.
